Last thursday, while playing TT or Ping Pong as is called in some places, I accidentally bumped my head against a wall, actually a corner. A visible lump looked like a small plateau sitting beautiful amidst the greenry, errr... blackry. When I returned home, I knew I was disoriented. I mean, people are disoriented and here I knew I was disoriented. The pain only increased in the next few days. So I decided to either sleep or pretend to sleep, the whole of the weekend.
Today I feel its finally gone. I am feeling so much more better.
A friend once told me he SWAM into the wall of a swimming pool and banged his head. Ouch.
A little girl once ran a trolley into the back of my left ankle. I saw stars, my speech was cut off. My ankle turned yellow, purple, pink, green, blue. All those colours, all at once. It hurt for a year. I swear.
One of my family friend, someone very close to me, had a fall from the 4th floor. He was in hospital for 7 months. He is someone I take inspiration from, because through out it all, he never gave up. He only cried when he saw my mum and me on his side. And the amount of determination one needs to overcome pain when one has all the major bones broken and not just broken but so bad, when he folded his thighs while in hospital, one could hear the sound of the muscle moving from atleast 4 feet away, is tremendous. Its people like him, who live the life challenging the odds and the death.
He was doing Yoga, some breathing exercise and perhaps stopped breathing for a little longer. And for a moment he became unaware of the boundaries and fell over the balcony. Yep, he is very fine now. His one leg is a little shorter than the other but otherwise he is so fit, and he is 62 now.
I own a couple of very small restaurants. This blog is intended to share some anecdotes from the journey so far and some hilarious experiences I have had. This is also a story from the "other side". A customer can review us from the outside on various forums. Some of the views are balanced and some not. Some have had genuine bad experiences and some, made up. But a restaurant management side rarely gets a chance to tell their side of the story. This is a let out for such feelings and thoughts too. I shall also try to share some recipes here. These would be practical recipes that one can make in a jiffy or at least on a short notice.
So heres wishing me all the best in this endeavour.
F-ftOS.

How on earth did he fall, Anoop?
Yes, I draw inspiration from many people. If I knew and saw your friend he would be one I gather courage from too.
Is he okay now? Can he walk?

Was it a balcony without rails, then? Poor soul. But then you say he's 62 now. 62 and fit. A hero indeed! This 'success' story has made me happy.
with the rails...
I see you are up pretty early today. :)
Yes, I woke at 5 am. Wrote emails, went for my walk too!
